Once the votes are tabulated, our Review Board takes a look at the top rated Hosts in each category and visits their web sites to make the final determination. We do everything in our power to make objective evaluations of each award winner.

>5/26/2005 - FOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Layerblue Networks is Growing Again!

Due to tremendous growth over the past year we have upgraded our network capacity. As of May 26th 2005 our network capacity has been upgraded to GigE (1,000Mbit) direct to our collocation cage. The new drop is 100% Verio bandwidth both in and out, and is still backed up by our redundant 100Mbit connections.

Included in this planned upgrade were many other network enhancements including but not limited to anti-spoofing technology and greater network redundancy.

June 15th will also be an upgrade day for our entire network with the addition of network layer virus protection. Redundant hardware appliances will be responsible for protecting our network from various worms and viruses that have been circulating. These appliances will also help to protect from virus ridden emails both inbound and outbound.

Layerblue has acquired Nexgenhosting to help secure it's foundation in the Windows based web hosting community. No changes in service are anticipated for existing Nexgenhosting customers, but all traffic going to Nexgenhosting.com will be directed right at Layerblue.com.

To show you just what Blue can do for you, we are giving 50% off all hosting packages purchased through 7-4-2004. After the 4th of July, all prices will go back to their already low normal rates.

2/23/2004 - FOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Layerblue has changed it's design.

Layerblue has changed it's website layout and corporate identity to reflect our new company direction and to include a more user-friendly experience for its members and visitors wishing to find out more information on the award-winning web hosting company.

The new and improved site will give its users easy control panel access along with easy to find helpful topics and site features. The company continues to look towards the future and offer the best possible value-based hosting product available on the web.

4/15/2003 - FOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Layerblue has changed it's domain name.

To better help with it's branding operations, and name recognition Layerblue Networks has decided to move away from it's original domain name at lblue.net, and switch to layerblue.com. The domain lblue.net will no longer function after 8-11-2003 so please update your bookmarks to reflect the new domain name.

This name change will in no way affect your service, this is simply a way to help keep our name recognized in an oversaturated industry.
